Air Fryers

An air fryer cooks with hot air instead of in a pan of oil. Your food turns crispy with little or no oil. Buying an air fryer? Look at three things: how much you want to make at once, what your food sits in and what you'll make in it most often.

Which air fryer suits you?

• ClearFry: you want to cook in glass, with no coating, and watch it turn crispy.
• SuperFry: you want two dishes at once, with two stacked tiers that take up little width.
• TwoFry: you want two dishes at once, with two baskets side by side and eight programmes.
• SteamFry: you want hot air and steam, so meat, fish and vegetables stay juicy.
• SpaceFry: you want to cook flat, a whole pizza for example, without shaking.

Glass air fryer: no coating

The ClearFry is a glass air fryer. You cook in glass bowls instead of a basket with a non-stick coating: an air fryer with no Teflon or any other coating. You can see from every side when your food is golden brown. It comes with two bowls: 4.5 litres for a whole meal and 2.5 litres for a snack or side dish. The bowls can go in the dishwasher, the microwave and the freezer.

PFAS-free air fryer

Looking for a PFAS-free air fryer? PFAS are chemicals that repel water, grease and dirt. They're often found in the non-stick coatings of pans and air fryers, and they hardly break down in nature. These Seeger air fryers are PFAS-free:

Air fryer with steam

Dual air fryer: two dishes at once

Air fryer for pizza

The SpaceFry has no deep basket, but a flat 30-centimetre cooking surface, with heat from above and below. How many litres do you need?

• Snack, side dish or a casserole for two: the ClearFry's 2.5-litre bowl.
• Pizza and flat dishes: the SpaceFry with 6 litres.
• A whole chicken or fries for the family: the ClearFry's 4.5-litre bowl.
• A complete meal for the family: the SteamFry with 7 litres.
• Two dishes at once: the TwoFry (2 × 5 litres) or the SuperFry (2 × 5.5 litres).

Cleaning

First unplug the air fryer and let it cool down. The part with the heating element never goes under water and never in the dishwasher. These parts can go in the dishwasher:

• ClearFry: the glass bowls and the fryer plate.
• SuperFry: the baskets and the crisper plates.
• TwoFry: the baskets and the baking plates.
• SteamFry: the basket and the baking plate. It also has a steam cleaning programme.
• SpaceFry: the drawer.
