Ingredients

Speculaas gelato, 1 CompactCream cup (350 ml)

  • 200 ml whole milk
  • 100 ml whipping cream
  • 50 g soft brown sugar
  • 1 tsp speculaas spices
  • 4 speculaas biscuits, crumbled

To serve

  • 8 stroopwafels
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Method

  1. The day before: stir the milk, cream, brown sugar and speculaas spices until the sugar has dissolved. Fill the cup to the MAX line and stand it upright in the freezer for 24 hours.
  2. Let the cup stand for up to 10 minutes and spin the gelato on the Gelato programme.
  3. Make a hollow, sprinkle in the speculaas crumbs and spin once more so they are mixed through.
  4. Warm the stroopwafels for a few seconds on a cup of hot tea so the syrup softens. Put a scoop of gelato between two stroopwafels, press gently, dust with cinnamon and eat straight away.
