The Seeger CompactCream is a small ice cream maker for home that makes ice cream, gelato, sorbet, slush and frozen drinks, with five programmes. You fill one of the three 350 ml cups, put it in the freezer for 24 hours, and then most recipes are ready in 1 to 3 minutes. It's for anyone who wants to keep their worktop clear: after use it goes back in the cupboard or drawer.

Yes, for all five types, so slush and frozen drinks too. Put the lid on the cup and stand it upright in the freezer for at least 24 hours. Then leave the frozen cup on the worktop for up to 10 minutes before you spin it.

Three 350 ml cups, with lids. They stack in the freezer, so you can have three portions ready at once. Don't fill them above the MAX line. With fizzy drinks, use a third less.

Fix the cup under the blade unit and click the top part on. Choose a programme with the dial, hold down the power button and push the top part slowly down through the cup. Then let it come all the way back up. Most recipes are ready in 1 to 3 minutes. You may need an extra round to get the right thickness.

The cups and lids can go in the dishwasher. Rinse the blade unit under the tap. Wipe the handle that holds the motor with a damp cloth: it never goes under water. Don't use abrasive cleaners.
